The Law on the Prevention and Control of Occupational Diseases stipulates that employers must provide workers with protective equipment as required, and workers must wear protective equipment. Misconception 2: There is no smell in the workshop, so there is no need for personal protective equipment Many harmful gases are colorless, odorless, tasteless, and cannot be felt without warning. Even with a sense of taste, there are limitations and individual differences in how the senses perceive the outside world. Thus, feeling overly trusting can lead to occupational poisoning. Misunderstanding 3 You can use gauze Face Mask to prevent dust Ordinary gauze masks cannot be used as dust masks. Although the gauze masks we use are cheap, they absorb sweat in summer and keep warm in winter. However, such masks cannot prevent the hazards of respirable dust and can easily lead to pneumoconiosis. A special Dust Mask is required. Myth 4: Medical masks are used to prevent viruses The Medical Face Mask can prevent the spread of disease through droplets, but it cannot filter toxic gases. For different poisons, respirators with different filtering effects are required. Activated carbon respirators can be used to prevent general volatile organic gas emissions. Misunderstanding 5 Dust masks can be washed and reused The filter material of the dust mask cannot be washed with water. The filter material used in dust masks is generally non-woven material, which can only be used as a Disposable Face Mask. Some rely on electrostatic charges on the fibers to filter respirable dust. After cleaning, the microstructure of the filter material will be damaged, invisible cracks and holes will appear, a large amount of electrostatic charge will be lost, and the filtration performance will be seriously reduced.
